VP of Sales (Location Flexible, Midwest/West Regional Accountability)

This is an individual contributor sales role (virtual/home office based), with a desired coverage area of Mid-West and West Coast pharma and biotech. This is a key position and as one of the first sales people hired by the company, this role has tremendous growth potential within the organization. With that said, the Sales professional will lead the growth and development of their region. (S)he will play a key role within the company, having responsibility for developing new partnerships with major brands and analytics functions within pharmaceutical manufacturers. S/he will drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting into companies, to securing meetings with senior-level decision-makers. (S)he will take the account through a needs analysis, develop and present our solutions and then will be tasked with closing the sale. This position is focused on new business development, and the cultivation and growth of such accounts after they have been penetrated. As a business builder and leader within the company, the VP will be a key member of IPM.ai’s growing team.

Ideal Candidates:

10 years of outside sales experience calling directly on pharmaceutical brands/analytics functions with a proven track record of success meeting and exceeding annual sales/revenue targets.

  • Conversant in pharmaceutical secondary data assets and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Experience calling on brands, analytics functions, and leadership teams at any level of a pharma organization.
  • Digital channel experience a plus.
  • Hunter who excels in developing new business accounts.
  • Brings in own contacts and book of business and responsible for own lead generation.
  • Comfort negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and managing invoicing logistics.

Senior Health Data Engineer (Location Flexible; Philly/NJ Preferred)

The Position:

  • Optimize code to run efficiently in a distributed data environment
  • Support creation of architecture and manipulation of health data assets into distributed data environment and develop utilities to support data extraction and analysis
  • Independently research and procure core knowledge of diagnoses and treatment in specific therapeutic areas to drive internal business decisions for design of user defined functions
  • Analyze secondary data and research to identify key findings and trends
  • Generate cohesive outputs in summary outputs (R, Scala, Python) tying project objectives and goals to data output
  • Asist in drafting quantitative or qualitative analysis to support client deliverables and issues
  • Asist in the management of projects and workstreams and help with shifting priorities
  • Asist in drafting and updating internal tools with supportive documentation for projects and process flows for evolving standard operations and procedures

Principal Consultant

This is an individual contributor Principal Consultant role (virtual/home office based).  As a quota-carrying sales lead, this individual will collaborate with the Account Lead in a matrix environment and will partner on the growth and development of their accounts. (S)he will play a key role within the company, having responsibility for developing new partnerships with major brands and analytics functions within pharmaceutical manufacturers. S/he will work with the account lead to provide subject matter expertise with senior-level decision makers in commercial applications of patient level data, Artificial Intelligence, and Commercial Operations. (S)he will assist in closing deals, oversee the client relationship and engagement delivery. This position is focused on new business development, and the cultivation and growth of such accounts after they have been penetrated.  As a business builder and leader within the company, the Principal Consultant will be a key member of Swoop’s growing commercial team and will have the opportunity to build out a team as the business and performance warrants.

Ideal Candidates

6+ years of outside sales experience calling directly on pharmaceutical brands/analytics/ commercial operations functions with a proven track record of success meeting and exceeding annual sales/revenue targets.

  • Expert in pharmaceutical secondary data assets, especially APLD/patient level data, advanced analytics/AI solutions, and commercial operations consulting.
  • Seller/doer model, w/ experience calling on brands, analytics/BI, and pharma leadership teams
  • Strategic thinker with experience selling/closing, transitioning to and overseeing an internal delivery team, and providing client/relationship management for further up-selling opportunities.
  • Brings in own book of business; simultaneously eager to support the lead generation of others.
  • Driven by thought leadership in the intersection of healthcare data and advanced analytics/AI (comfort/interest in presenting at industry conferences, etc.)
  • Experience/comfort working as a commissioned sales person in a matrix environment (vertical ‘Account Leads’ and horizontal ‘Principals’ supporting multiple accounts/opportunities)

Engagement Manager (Location Flexible, NJ/Philly Preferred)

Engagement Manager, to lead multiple, parallel consulting engagements leveraging medical claims and Rx data to address Pharma marketing client needs. Given the growing state of the company, the role will encompass both external, client-facing responsibilities as well as internal coordination responsibilities. Conceptually, this role will be ‘bridge’ between sales and delivery—translating sold engagements to the operations team for execution, managing ongoing project delivery and ‘evolving’ client expectations, maintaining proactive and consistent communication across client and delivery teams, supporting the sales force via strategic ideation on qualified opportunities, as well as translation into sales support specifications and subsequent development of delivery-related presentations. Therefore, a seasoned understanding of the evolving pharmaceutical market (precision medicine, value based re-imbursement, patient level data integration, etc.) and client-facing communication skills/language coupled with sound technical capabilities/competency is critical to success.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop strategies, methodologies, and project plans for leveraging medical claims data to deliver against Pharma marketing client needs
  • Facilitate and manage all project communication needs, including client-facing communications, and internal communications
  • Prepare and lead client meetings and workshops, including self-guided research, preparation of meeting materials, meeting delivery, and follow-ups
  • Efficiency and frequency self-educate to become subject matter expert in new project subject areas
  • Work to develop highest quality client deliverables in a matrix environment
  • Manage a portfolio of client engagements

Qualifications

  • Business or Data-focused Masters degree or higher (MBA, Masters of Data Science, or similar)
  • 5+ years working in a professional environment dealing with healthcare claims, healthcare/life sciences analytical consulting, commercial operations
  • Proven track record of increasing responsibilities in the area of client engagement and client communications

Skills

  • Competency in leading discussions with large groups, and driving consensus across different stakeholders
  • Good understanding of medical claims data and codes, and applicability to Pharma marketing challenges
  • High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with superior organizational logistics, and time management skills.
    • Highly competency with Excel – ability to manage large data sets by e.g. sorting, pivoting, and interrogating using logic and text functions
